Shawn, Great way to start the year off. You did an excellent job creating a radially symmetrical design by flipping, rotating, changing scale, and placing your letter in the proper place. While only three colors were employed it looks like more due to the opacity changes you made. The different values of red give the illusion of depth and remind me of a screen printed image.
